TGL Services - Personnel Placement is looking for four (4) heavy mining equipment mechanics for one of our clients located in Northern Quebec. Upon receiving your application, it will be reviewed and you will be contacted if your application matches the profile.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Caterpillar R1700 scoops, CAT AD45 trucks, Sandvik drilling equipment, as well as MacLean equipment (bolters, jumbos, etc.);
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures to ensure equipment reliability;
- Carry out corrective work and planned maintenance to minimize production downtime;
- Perform the necessary tests, adjustments, and verifications after repairs;
- Complete maintenance reports and ensure follow-up on completed work;
- Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to maintain optimal equipment availability;
- Respect the procedures, standards, and practices in site health and safety.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- DEP in construction machinery mechanics or equivalent experience;
- Experience in maintaining underground mobile mining equipment;
- Ability to diagnose and effectively resolve mechanical problems;
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, and a sense of priorities;
- Excellent attitude and strong OHS orientation;
- Valid driver's license
- Valid explosives permit
- Mining modules
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Salary between $40 and $65/hour depending on experience
- Time and a half paid after 40 hours/week
- Schedule 21/21 in day/night rotation
- Fly-in-Fly-out
- Housed and fed
- Paid tool allowance
- Group insurance after 1 month (life, medication, dental, vision)
- EAP + Telemedicine after 1 month
- Pension and travel expenses paid, subject to certain conditions
- Ten paid holidays per year
