TGL Services - Staffing Placement is looking for two (2) heavy truck and trailer mechanics to support transportation and maintenance activities for one of our clients located in Northern Quebec. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Kenworth trucks as well as on trailers and related equipment;
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems and implement the necessary corrections;
- Carry out planned maintenance work and emergency repairs to ensure fleet availability;
- Perform tests and inspections after repairs;
- Complete maintenance reports and ensure follow-up on interventions;
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize equipment performance;
- Apply health and safety standards and procedures rigorously.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- DEP in heavy road vehicle mechanics or relevant experience;
- Experience with Kenworth trucks (important asset);
- Skills in mechanical diagnosis and troubleshooting;
- Autonomy, rigor, and resourcefulness;
- Sense of teamwork and concern for well-done work;
- Commitment to health and safety.
- Valid driver's license
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Salary between $40 and $50/hour depending on experience
- Time and a half paid after 40 hours/week
- Schedule 21/21 in day/night rotation
- Fly-in-Fly-out
